Bigtop of Haruhi Suzumiya, ch.3 pt.1, I guess...This idea was pointless from the start, obviously, but I had to give it at least a nominal effort. Not that it would yield any results, of course, but at least I would be able to honestly say, “I tried”, tomorrow. Actually, I had one idea – that of a trained cat performance – but, after spending a good half an hour, I had to conclude that either Shamisen’s intelligence returned to that of an ordinary calico cat, or he was very good at faking it. Oh well, there goes my brilliant plan.
So, I went to bed without a single decent idea. I could only hope that the rehearsal would be such a disaster that Haruhi would change her mind and cancel the whole affair. Yeah, right. As if that could ever happen.
Of course, Haruhi wasn’t pleased. She asked whether I came up with something first thing in the morning, and, after hearing the honest, complete and thorough answer of “Not really…”, turned away to stare at the window with an expression tha

I could see it-
The skin of my arms prickled,

wanted to reach out and touch them but…
I couldn't move,
and yet I laughed
ignoring my dry mouth
and the tingling in my feet.
There was a tempest
on the rise
and in my blood.
A sugar rush disguised
as a riot of butterflies
and they were swarming me.
